Abdul Basir Miller Jr is a multifocal photographer based in New York City.
Driven with a passion for telling and capturing stories, his work takes a focus in documentary and commercial, through events and people.
Specializing in both digital and analogue photography, he offers a full range of options from Film to photo.
We think with our eyes, we judge with our eyes, we decide with our eyes.
“The African American experience has always been shelved, out of view for the public; left to live through word of mouth. My experience has been told to me well before I had the chance to see it.”
Amongst his neighbors, photography wasn’t viewed as a means of preservation but degradation; more fuel to be added to the fire.
Photography is a record, a document that takes a moment in time and shares it in another.
To him its ensuring that the people and the stories they share are never forgotten, always told
and forever exposed.
